Sewing Tips

Happy Saturday –

Hope you’re having a wonderful week and enjoying this beautiful stretch of weather. We may not get true sweater weather here in Florida, but these mid‑70s days feel pretty perfect — cool enough in the mornings to open the windows, and warm enough by afternoon to remind you we’re still in the Sunshine State.

I’ve been leaning toward quick, easy embroidery projects lately — the kind you can finish in one sitting and still feel creatively satisfied. I stitched an Etsy design onto a kitchen towel, and it reminded me how much joy there is in simple makes.

Etsy has some fantastic embroidery designs, and I always check the comments before purchasing. It’s helpful to see whether customers were happy with the stitch‑out and if the shop responds quickly when questions come up. Those little details make a big difference.

The towel itself was one of my favorites from Amazon. They’re wonderful for embroidery and wash beautifully without turning into an accordion — a small thing, but one I appreciate every time.

If you ever find yourself in a season where you can’t commit to a big project, a quick towel or small embroidery design is such a nice way to keep enjoying your craft. Creativity doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend and something handmade that makes you smile.

Happy Saturday,

Valerie
