Happy Saturday –
I love this time of year, but it can be so busy. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and jumped right into the Christmas season. We are shopping, attending Christmas events, wrapping presents and of course start watching our yearly Christmas movies.
Here is my current status on the Jordan jacket and review of the pattern. My goal is to have this completed before Christmas. Would love to wear it the Christmas eve service on Sunday.
I am using a denim fabric which is helping with the shape and is hiding some of my mistakes. The pictures on the directions are drawn out which gives a clear idea of how to put the jacket together. The picture below is my jacket with the back pieces with the yolk.

Here is the front of the jacket. These pockets on the front were much easier than expected. I enjoyed topstitching. The next time I make this jacket, I will utilize the gold so the stitching stands out. I didn’t want the stitching to stand out on my first jacket.

The most challenging was the side pockets because you actually cut the fabric on the front pieces. Yes, I honestly had palpations as I cut out the perfectly piece of denim to make the pockets.

The picture below shows the front and back pieces together with the side pockets. My next step is to put in the sleeves. I am overall very excited of how this pattern is turning out.

Let me know if you have any questions on the pattern or even tips with finishing up this jacket. Challenge yourself on new projects, this jacket is definitely putting me outside of my comfort zone, but I have found that it is not as hard as I feared. Hopefully with you challenging project you will feel the same.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Lovely work on your pocket there! 😍
