Happy Saturday –
I am ready to start on my new project. This will be a little more challenging project for me due to the fabric and the pattern. The fabric is from Joann’s. I absolutely love the colors and it has a nice touch but it is slippery.
The challenges will be utilizing an invisible zipper, multiple pleats in with this fabric. If stitches need to be removed, it could damage the fabric.
Preventive steps-
- Laying out the pattern and utilize a lot of pins, to keep the fabric from moving
- Marking all the pleats with double-faxed wax-free tracing paper.
- A microtex needles to prevent any runs
The patterns concerns is the in the darts it is requesting self-fabric. I don’t believe that I will be using the method because the weight it will cause on the dart.
