Happy Saturday –
We are starting warm up in Florida, so I will be working on my spring and summer wear for the next several weeks. One of my goals this year is to reduce some of my fabric stash by using what I have before buying more. (This goal is a work in progress). The fabric that I am using is part of that stash.
Today, I finished this silk pull over blouse from Simplicity 8601. The pattern is simple and I love the tie in the front. The directions are easy to follow. The only variation is that I did not sew in the elastic cord for the back enclosure, instead I use hook and eye.
The fabric was slippery when sewing, so pins were a necessity to hold the facing in place and I also used the press and steam tape for the hem. The press and steam tape was extremely useful in keeping my hem line even.
I am looking forward to wearing this. This project was completed in one afternoon. I hope with these projects that I show you that it does not take a lot of time to make a cute blouse. Sewing is way to express your creativity and have nice fitting clothes.

Let me know what projects you are working on.
