Red Cardigan – Simplicity 2424

Happy Sewing –

My fabric stash is out of control.  I have so much fabric but I continue to find myself running out to Joann’s or checking out the internet for more.  I believe that statement would define me as a fabric addict.

My goal is  reduce my stash but this will take some time.  I did find this red knit while shopping in my own sewing cabinet.  I have no idea of where it was purchased but it is a heavier knit.

The Simplicity pattern itself was easy to follow.  It had four pattern pieces so it  came together quickly.  I was able to shorten the pattern,  since I am petite.  The jacked turned out so nice.  My serger is currently  having it’s yearly service so I was not able to finish the seams with the cover stitch.   The great thing about knit fabrics is they don’t unravel.  You do not necessarily have to finish the seams.

Will,  I make this pattern again?  Yes,  it is always useful to have a cardigan to utilize for the over achieving  air conditioners in Florida.

Happy Sewing!
