Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We have a very busy two weeks. Last, Sunday we welcomed our first grandchild which is so exciting. We are entering in a new stage of our lives, and we are so grateful to live close to enjoy it.
At this point in the quilt, we have quilted the outline of the large blue star and the inside white star. The large star needed something more, so I am currently stippling the inside of the star.
Maneuvering the queen size quilt with a standard size sewing machine, has been challenging. One of the steps that I have taken is to keep the weight of the quilt on the table. If you do not keep the weight up on the table, it can pull on the quilt and distort the stitches. Another method that i have done is roll up one side of the quilt. to help with the maneuvering.
Hopefully by next week, I can show you the finished product. Let me know if you have any tips for quilting besides buying a longarm.
