Happy Saturday –
Just spent the last two days doing the Florida Shop Hop. We visited 10 shops and found lots of beautiful fabric and patterns. This was opportunity to visit Florida shops in several different cities and support small businesses.
Currently working on pockets for my denim skirt. The McCalls pattern is from 1993 so definitely considered vintage. Fabric for the skirt is a denim stretch. Utilizing a gold thread to outline the skirt. The pattern has fitting tips from Palmer/Pletsch.
Instead of doing the pockets as per the instructions, I utilized a design from Embroidery Library. The design is called Diamond in the Rough. The design does stitch out beautifully and I had no issues with the machine. Previously embroidered this design for another skirt but I am hoping that the skirt has a better fit and all raw edges are serged.

Have you used embroidery on your clothing on a skirt or a blouse? I have put it several times on sweatshirts but just would like to hear any tips that you may have.
Happy Saturday,
Valerie
