Happy Saturday –
Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday. We have been experiencing rain all day, but rainy days are great for enjoying some time to read a book, take a nap and of course sew or do all three!
I am in love with the patterns from Missouri Quilts. Their patterns have detailed instructions to help you create the design and duplicate the same results as the designer. It is a great place for a beginner quilter to learn. There are also videos tutorials with each one of their quilts. You can go step by step and see how Jenny creates the design. If you have not tried their patterns, definitely check out this website because they are always having sales.
The Totally Tulips design caught my attention because it was a different from what I normally sew, and it just made me smile as I created each tulip. The fabric was from stash, and I utilized Kona white as the background.
What I had wished that I had done differently, is have more variety such as using a 10-inch layer cakes, so each tulip had a different look and starched my fabric. My next steps, will be purchasing the backing fabric and border, quilting and adding the binding. Here is my quilt. It is definitely a work in progress.

Please let me know what quilts that you are working on and some of your favorite quilt designers. I just downloaded a new pattern from Etsy and I am looking forward to trying it out. It is great that I can support small businesses and at the same time enjoy my passion.
Happy Saturday!
