Happy Saturday –
Hope you are having a great weekend. My current project is this gingham blouse. This is going to be little bit of challenge, since it will have buttons going down the front. Buttonholes has been my nemesis when constructing clothing. Hopefully, this time it will not be the case. Purchased cute little wooden buttons which should pair well with this top.
The pattern is New Look number A6394. The pattern was purchased at Walmart and the fabric was purchased at Fabric Hut in Norfolk, Va. In Florida, we are starting to warm up, this will be a great blouse going into the Spring.

I am very pleased with the pattern. The instructions are well written, and collar has come out nice and crisp. I had to do some sniping and trimming around the neck so that collar would lay correctly. Overall, pleased with the results

The top was shortened before I cut out the pattern so that it would fit correctly since I do not need the length. The idea is to make it look like a top and not a dress for me. A little bit of exaggeration, since I only took up 1 inch.
Here is where we are currently out.

My goal is to have this done by next weekend for a weekend getaway. Let me know what projects you are working on and any tips that you may have with the buttonholes.
