Happy New Year!
Hope you are enjoying the holidays with family and friends. I took a couple of weeks off of the blog to spend with family and I am ready to get back to sewing.
This year, I am going to set some new goals for sewing. I know some folks don’t believe in setting New Year Resolutions but I believe in goals. It is better to shoot for a goal and miss then to set no goals or expectations for the New Year. I have a yearly traditional to sit down and review the past year and set goals for the New Year.
Here are some of my goals.
- Weekly sewing posts
- Sew at least 12 hours a week (I would love to do more but still working a full time job)
- Attend the Sewing Expo in Lakeland, the Jacksonville Quit Show and take at least 5 additional classes.
- Sew a winter coat, update wardrobe to be at least 50% of clothes that I have sewn and venture into sewing a sport coat for husband
- Read at the minimum 5 sewing books. I received for Christmas “The Tunic Bible” by Sarah Gunn and Julie Starr so I already have a start on one of my goals.
What are your sewing goals? Let me know.
