Happy Saturday –
I am so ready for fall but Florida just hasn’t cooled off yet. Hoping to wear this soon, but we probably have a couple more weeks to go.
The fabric was purchased from Fabric Mart last year. I know this store has been mentioned a lot in my blog. When I was at their store last year, I bought a lot of fabric. Their fabric was great quality and reasonably priced.
The vest pattern was from New Look, the instructions were well written and easy to follow. I am hoping to make a dress out of this pattern. The shawl collar on this pattern is beautiful.
I did run into a small problem, somehow I used the arm hole facing as the ties. I could not figure out why the ties looked so crooked and long. Finally, realized my mistake when I could not find the arm hole facing but I did find the cut out piece for the ties. Besides the sewing machine, I believe that the seam ripper is my most used sewing tool.
