Happy Saturday –
I have so much fabric. If someone looked in my sewing cabinet, I might be consider a hoarder. If fabric is left over from a previous project, I keep the extra material “just in case I may need it.”
In an effort to reduce the fabric in the cabinet, I decided to do some scrap busting projects. Here is my pot holder.
Steps –
- Cut 3 – 3 inches strips of fabric 9 inches long
- Stitch the strips together
- Cut it down the middle and turn one piece 180 degrees and stitched together
- Cut back fabric, Warm Company Insul-Bright Polyester Fabric and batting to the size of the square
- Layer the fabrics with the backing fabric right side facing down
- Stitch the embroidery pattern. I used the Robust Autumn Pumpkin from Embroidery Library
- Cut the binding at 2.5 inches at the wider of the fabric
Let me know if you this quick pattern and also what projects.
