Happy Saturday!
I finished this quilt last week and I am happy with how it turned out. The finished size is 61 ” x 81 “.
The Supplies
25 blue squares 7 1/4″ wide
25 white squares 7 1/4 ” wide
1 1/8 yard of the navy fabric
Triangles on a Roll
Batting – Warm and Natural Twin Size
Backing Fabric 4 1/2 yards
In my previous post, I showed you how to make the chevron design utilizing the Triangles on a Roll. Each row of the quilt, had 10 squares. I made 10 rows. Once the rows were sewn together, I pressed out the seams and then added 19 inches of the navy blue fabric to the quilt.
The batting and the back fabric were added to the quilt. At this present time, I do not own a Long Arm. I do my own quilting. I started in the middle of the quilt stitching along the chevron pattern. After completing each row, I pressed out the quilt to keep the fabric flat. I quilted the top of the quilt with stars.
Once the quilting was completed, I added the binding and pressed again. I enjoyed making this pattern. It is an easy pattern that comes together quickly.
Let me know of your favorite quilt pattern. Have any of you tried the fusible batting?
