Happy Saturday!
I am making progress on the patriotic quilt. My daughter wants the quilt to resemble the American Flag. I am so glad that she is proud of her heritage and understands the sacrifices of so many.
I wanted to share a sewing tip. My sewing buddy showed me a fantastic time saver when you are sewing a chevron quilt. It is called Triangles on a Roll. I was going to use it about a year go but I cut my squares to a different size and never used it.
I finally pulled out the roll for this project. Let me just tell you, this is a great time saver. Due to squeezing in sewing time around work, family and church, my time is limited just like everyone else. I was able to make 78 of these squares in no time.
It is very simple, you stitch on the dotted lines and then cut on the solid line. The paper easily tears away and you have a beautiful block.
The quilt should come together quickly. I am hoping by next week to show you the quilt top.
Let me know, if you have used these Triangle Rolls.
